Gastrostim Oral 10ml

Indicated in dogs and cats as an adjuvant in the treatment of vomiting of various origins. Useful in the control of nausea, reflux due to esophagitis and gastric intolerance, and gastric emptying.  

On the gastrointestinal tract, it stimulates upper gastrointestinal motility without stimulating gastric, pancreatic, or biliary secretions.

It increases the tone and amplitude of gastric contractions, relaxes the pyloric sphincter, and increases small intestinal peristalsis. It reduces gastric emptying time and intestinal transit time.  Increases esophageal sphincter tone and reduces gastroesophageal reflux.

Metoclopramide is a dopaminergic antagonist that acts on the central and peripheral nervous systems with gastrokinetic and antiemetic effects.  In the gastrointestinal tract, it stimulates upper gastrointestinal motility without stimulating gastric, pancreatic, or biliary secretions.
