Sera UV-C systems are universally applicable and very powerful. They are suitable for use in ponds or aquariums.
UV-C radiation is not present on Earth, but comes exclusively from space. Therefore, during evolution, no organisms could adapt to this harsh radiation, neither pathogens (bacteria, viruses, fungi), parasites nor the reproductive stages of filamentous algae. This is what the UV-C system is effective at and improves the condition and health of aquarium animals when used during filtration. Bacterial water turbidity and green water in the pond are effectively suppressed.

Inside these systems, the flowing water is irradiated with UV-C radiation for a short period of time. The unit is equipped with a UV-C emitting lamp, which is protected by a high-quality silica glass tube around which the water flows. Water enters through a hose connector and flows out through another on the opposite side. The variable adapter allows the connection of hoses of different diameters. Replacing the particularly efficient PL UV-C lamp is easy. The end pieces with hose connectors are rotatable and allow the shortest possible hose connection.
The systems are available in different capacities according to your needs (see overview). They are connected to a suitable powerful pump with a hose. UV-C systems are primarily equipped with energy-saving lamps and a gently working electronic ballast.

The 24 W and 55 W UV-C systems are supplied with a 10-meter cable.
Recommended flow rates:
in aquariums 1000 – 2000 litres/hour
in ponds 2000 – 4000 litres/hour
UV-C System cannot be operated without a pump. Neither the inhabitants of the aquarium nor the nitrifying bacteria settled in the filter are threatened by UV radiation. A suitable pump must be selected for the recommended flow rates.
