Catney One
Catney® one contains the active ingredient lanthanum carbonate Lanthanum carbonate is the only substance approved in the EU for reducing phosphate absorption.The standard in human medicine, which has now been adapted to the needs of CKD cats.
Supports the renal function in case of chronic renal insufficiency and reduces phosphate absorption.
Target Species: Cats
Composition:
Lanthanum carbonate octahydrate (880g/kg), maltodextrins (produced from potatoes and maize).
Lanthanum carbonate octahydrate is a phosphate binder.
Instructions for use:
The recommended dosage of Catney One is 1 sachet (520 mg) daily per cat.
- Catney One is suitable for adult cats of all genders.
- Catney One can be administered with any type of food. For dry food, it is advisable to add a binding component (for example, wet food, a cat paste or a cat gel), mix it with Catney One in a small amount – e.g. a spoon – and let your cat take this before administering the usual dry food to your cat.
- If the cat gets oral medications, it is recommended to administer Catney One three hours before or one hour later.
- Avoid simultaneous use of feeds with high level of phosphorus.
- Fresh water should always be available to the cat.
