Melox Oral suspension for Cats and Dogs (30ml) (0.5mg/ml)
Description
In dogs: for the alleviation of inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculo-skeletal disorders.
Peri-operative use:
After initial treatment with Melox 0.5% Injection, continue treatment 24 hours later with MeloxĀ® Oral Suspension 0.5 mg/ml at a dosage of 0.05 mg meloxicam/kg body weight (0.1 ml/kg). The oral follow-up dose may be administered once daily (at 24-hour intervals) for up to two days. Acute musculoskeletal disorders: On the first day of treatment, a single oral dose of 0.1 mg meloxicam/kg body weight (0.2ml/kg) should be administered using MeloxĀ® Oral Suspension. Treatment is to be continued once daily by oral administration (at 24 hour intervals) at a maintenance dose of 0.05 mg meloxicam/kg body weight (0.1 ml/kg) for up to four days.
Dogs up to 10 kgs:
MELOXĀ® Oral Suspension should be administered initially at 0.2 mg/kg body weight only on the first day of treatment. For all treatments after day 1, MELOXĀ® Oral Suspension should be administered once daily at a dose of 0.1 mg/kg, (0.2 ml/kg).
MELOXĀ® Oral Suspension can be given by using the measuring syringe provided in the package. The syringe fits on to the bottle and has a scale beginning at 0.1 ml.
